How to Add Multiple Charts in TradingView
1. Open TradingView and Sign In Begin by opening TradingView and signing in to your account. If you don’t have an account yet, you can create one for free.
2. Create a New Layout Once you are logged in, navigate to the top of the TradingView interface and click on the “Select Layout” button, which is represented by a grid icon. This will open a dropdown menu where you can choose from different layout options.
3. Choose a Layout In the dropdown menu, you’ll see several layout options ranging from a single chart to multiple charts in various configurations (e.g., 2x2, 3x1, etc.). Select the layout that best fits your needs. For instance, if you want to monitor four charts simultaneously, you might choose the 2x2 layout.
4. Add Charts to Each Pane After selecting your preferred layout, you’ll be directed to a screen with multiple chart panes. You can now add a chart to each pane. Click on the “Add Symbol” field at the top of each pane to enter the symbol or asset you want to monitor.
5. Customize Each Chart Each chart pane can be customized individually. Click on the chart you want to adjust, and use the settings menu to change the timeframes, indicators, or chart types. This allows you to tailor each chart to specific analysis needs.
6. Save Your Layout Once you’ve configured all your charts and settings, it’s important to save your layout. Click on the “Save” button located at the top right of the interface. You can name your layout and save it for future use, ensuring you can quickly access it whenever you need it.
7. Managing Multiple Charts To switch between different layouts or to modify the existing one, you can use the “Layout” button again. This feature helps you manage and organize multiple chart layouts according to your trading strategy.
Tips for Using Multiple Charts:
- Synchronization: You can synchronize the timeframes of all charts in your layout by clicking on the “Synchronize Timeframes” button. This feature ensures that all charts update simultaneously, making it easier to compare price movements.
- Templates: Save your chart settings as templates to apply the same configurations to different charts quickly.
- Indicators: Apply different indicators to each chart to conduct diverse analyses.
By utilizing multiple charts in TradingView, you can enhance your trading efficiency and make more informed decisions by analyzing various assets and timeframes concurrently. Experiment with different layouts and configurations to find what works best for your trading style.
